Icoustic is built around a real library index — not a streaming home feed.

One library

One library is the default: music from every shared device appears together in Songs and Albums. Copies on two machines appear twice — it is a presentation merge, not a dedupe. Per device (Settings → Display → Library Layout) keeps this device and each network library as its own section.

Artists and Genres stay hidden on a fresh install. Turn them on under Settings → Display → Library Sections.

Views

• Albums — grid with artwork
• Songs — sortable table, including Date Added
• Artists and genres — jump into slices of the library, once enabled
• Per device — another device’s collection appears as its own section, with the same views and its playlists

On iPhone

The phone uses a leading drawer with the same Library / Devices / Playlists map as Mac and iPad. Search and Settings are icon chrome at the top of the drawer. In the main lists (Songs, Search, and shared libraries), a tap selects a song, a double tap plays exactly that song, and a swipe right queues it — so a stray tap never starts playback.

On iPad and Mac

Browsing is pointer-first: sortable tables, multi-select, drag and drop, and context menus on song rows for Play Next and Play Last.

Search

Search covers every shared library on this network. On iPhone, Search is in the drawer chrome and groups results by source. On iPad and Mac, each view filters in place. Results come from the local index, so your own library searches offline once scanning is done.

Sorting

In Songs, sort by the columns that matter for a personal collection — including when you added something — not by a recommendation score.
