Getting Started
Icoustic is a personal music library ecosystem for files you already own — MP3, FLAC, and M4A. There is no streaming catalog and no account required to listen. Devices in your home can act as a library, a player, a remote, or any mix.
What you need
- A Mac, iPad, or iPhone (iPadOS / iOS 17+ or a recent macOS)
- A folder of DRM-free audio files on the device or in iCloud Drive
- Xcode 16.3+ if you’re building from source
Install
Public TestFlight and App Store builds are coming. Until then, clone the GitHub repository, open Icoustic/Icoustic.xcodeproj, select your team under Signing, and run on your device.
First launch
- Open Icoustic.
- Add a music folder (see Adding a Library Folder).
- Wait for the first scan — large libraries take a few minutes; later rescans are much faster.
- Browse Albums, Artists, or Songs, and press play.
